Home Sweet Home

Evelyn was discharged from the UCLA Medical Center on Thursday afternoon at approximately 3pm. (In the midst of the Michael Jackson chaos!!) Needless to say it was a long drive home with the insane traffic around the hospital.

We are over the moon having Evelyn home. I only wish we didn't have to go back to the hospital. The plan is to return to UCLA to be readmitted on July 6th. Evelyn is scheduled to start TBR (total body radiation) on July 7th. Tentatively she is scheduled for the cord blood stem cell transplant on July 16th (my birthday...........how ironic! I think it is a sign from GOD!)

More details regarding Evelyn soon. For now I want to enjoy every minute of having her home with us.

A few photos from today.......

Enjoying my bed and Teddy Bear

I am in awe of the strength you are showing during this time. I am impressed by your little Evelyn and her very special soul that is touching your life and so many others. But, I want to say a shout out just for Yogi...who I think is a trooper. Looking at his most recent photos, I can sees what an amazing spirit he has too. His eyes say it all...he is absolutely in love with your family and his simplicity and consistent strength are so important to this journey you are on. Love to you all!
Love, Kori (I am a friend of Lynn, who has shared your story with me)
